About Us
Wix Farms Ltd is an amalgamation of three neighbouring farms in the Tendring Hundred. Based predominantly at Hempstalls Farm, Wix on the A120 between Colchester and Harwich.
Our aim is to produce high quality Potatoes and Onions predominantly for the packing sector. We have over 750ha owned within the business and rent in further root land on an annual basis. We grow a good mix of crops alongside Potatoes and Onions, including Milling Wheat, Malting Barley, Oil seed Rape, Seed Peas, Maize and Turf.
We have invested heavily in winter water storage and crop storage since the conception of Wix Farms in 2008 and as a result have plenty of water available in order to produce consistent quality. Along with high tech stores offering 2800 tonnes of onion storage alongside 1600 tonnes of potato storage.
At Wix Farms we are very environmentally friendly, with the whole farm having joined the new Mid Tier Stewardship scheme and have recently planted a small woodland in conjunction with the Woodland Trust. We are also Leaf Marque, Tesco Nurture, M & S Field to Fork and Assured Produce.
We are accredited to Leaf, Red Tractor, Sedex and hold Gold Standard for Tesco Nurture.

Wix Farms is a diverse farming enterprise which offers a range of services within its business. At our core is the agricultural business which includes a wide range of agricultural contracting services. We also offer a variety of storage solutions including containers and units as well as long term custom adapted business units.
Agricultural Contracting
We offer a wide range of operations from tillage work to combining and everything in between. We also take on stubble to stubble contracts as well as long term FBTs.
Roots
Our potato and onion enterprise is ever growing and we are always keen to consider local land for further expansion in this area.
Storage and Business Units
We have available a range of business units, storage containers and open yards to suit your needs. These range across a number of different sites and vary from 150 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft.
